Resolving
Aggregate Issues
Last week we discussed how customers had applied their Orbital Action
Screen to include aggregates. We found there were several areas to
improve, which were done with minimal changes to our base machine
In keeping with our commitment to the KISS
Principle, we have adjusted clearances at important places and
added simple options at others. By offering options we are able to
offer a solid, highly productive machine at a very attractive price for
those who are primarily interested in screening topsoil, compost or
mulch.
By adding what we call our rock package as an option, we are able to
broaden our application list to include aggregates with minimal first
cost price additions, always a good thing. Also keeping operating costs low are maintained as
aggregates are very easy to screen with Orbital Action.
The options include a hopper liner and a rock shield running the length
of the fines conveyor. Both options are easily added to any Model 68A
machine that was originally equipped with a belt type overs conveyor as
an after sale addition.
Any machine originally equipped with a chain type overs conveyor is not
recommended to be used for aggregates.
Brads Blog, “The Finer Cut”, is another of many
planned. Each issue will cover a topic of interest about our machines,
our industry, our customers and more. I look forward to this task and
am excited about the opportunity to broaden our communications with our
customers and industry. I invite you to return and visit from time to
time, cruising back through issues to see what I may have been thinking
of at another time.
I also invite you, our reader to contribute by offering your comments.
