Our
Story
During
the late 1970’s, Brad Schnittjer began looking for additional products
to add to the line of attachments being produced at Bradco/American
Trencher, Inc., a company Brad had formed in 1964. Recycling waste
materials was beginning to become popular. It was this arena that work
was begun on a proposed product line focused on recycling.
The initial product line as envisioned included a screening plant;
however the Scat Windrow Turner was the first machine to be developed
and introduced to the market place.
As
time passed, Corporate directions and ownership changed. Brad is now
producing Orbital Action
Screening Plants being sold into numerous diversified types of
operations, mostly in North America with exciting exceptions, those
being Demining activities by The Halo Trust, The Mines Advisory Group
and the
U.S.
Army.
The original, 1964 startup company, Bradco, Inc is now called Paladin
and is owned by the International
Equipment Solutions, a New York Stock Exchange
company. The company has expanded several times and merged with several
companies. The original Bradco location
in Delhi, Iowa has been expanded several times and remains one of the
Company's major production locations.
*** Update - August 7, 2018, Stanley Black & Decker announces
acquisistion of I.E.S. Attchaments from KPS. This acquisition
includes Paladin and its Brands which includes Bradco and American
Trencher.
Up-Date # 2—July 2019 A
new sign has appeared in Delhi, a small (Pop 500) Iowa town with a
business now owned by an 13.9 Billion in Annual sales company. I am very proud of the many folks who had such a big part of this accomplishment. I wish all a bright and successful future.
“Bradco” remains one of its primary brand names.
The “SCAT” windrow turner is now owned by the Vermeer Corporation of
Pella, Iowa and is being sold under the Vermeer label.
Early on, Brad started as a contractor moving dirt, installing sewer,
water and telephone cable. Followed by twelve years of installing
Natural Gas Distribution systems. This rich experience coupled with
developing machines to do things mechanically and hydraulically
provided the foundation and knowledge to introduce what we now
consider, America's Finest
“General
Purpose” Screening Plant.
Happy screening
Brad Schnittjer
