For about 10,000 years, the procedure to separate materials was to shake the material on top of a screen. Think of the prospector from the 1800's walking up a stream, picking up material and shaking it looking for gold.
By
changing the screen's composition, the screen's opening and the
screen's size, materials of various size and composition can be
screened.

Mechanization and scale provided the capability to process more and larger materials. By applying conveyors, material can be moved an piled a short distance away. But, shaking back and forth is inherently inefficient because of the 180 degree change in direction.
By spinning the screen, Orbit Screens has made a quantum leap in efficiency. Check ourperformance charts for detail. Job Stories through the Years
