Orbital Action Now In
Afghanistan
The
following photos show an unusual operation being conducted around the world by The HALO
Trust, a truly dedicated, compassionate, and committed group of Individuals on a
mission to save lives.

The
Staff of Orbit Screens, Inc. commends these people for their
efforts to
make this world a safer place, and proud to be associated with them as
a vendor of a
useful
tool
to expand and speed their work.
The
HALO Trust is a non-political, non-religious NGO,
registered in Britainas a charity
(no.1001813) and in the United States as a 501(c)(3) Not-for-Profit organization. HALO
specializes in the removal of the debris of war.
HALO has 7,000 staff
clearing landmines in 9 countries, with on-going surveysinto new regions.
HALO’s operations are grouped under Central Asia, South EastAsia, Horn of Africa,
Southern Africa and the Caucasus & Balkans. Our innovative training of local
management and introduction of new
equipment allows us
to continue
expansion as funding
becomes available.
On 19th June 2002,
HALO celebrated clearing its first million
landmines and other unexploded
ordnance (UXO), a testament to the dedication of our staff, the generosity of our
donors and the number of lives that have been saved. By early 2006
the total figure had exceeded 5,000,000.
HALO
is
not distracted by involvement in campaigns and conferences.
We have a simple mission statement -
“getting mines out of the ground,
now”.
