Arizona
I support with all of my strength, the people of Arizona in their
battle with the Federals over illegal immigration. I also encourage all
citizens of every other State in our Nation to follow the bold and
treacherous path chosen by those brave citizens who voted for personal
survival in the face of federally imposed neglect.
Legal immigration has been for over two centuries the foundation of our
nation’s citizenry and economic power. This fact seems to be lost with
our current Congress and Administration. A power struggle is evident
whereby deeds for personal gain and political power is ongoing. A
ballot box full of votes, legal or illegal carries more weight than it
should. I feel like I, along with those of us who believe in the rule
of law that we have been abandoned by our elected leaders.
As a small business man, I remember well the immigration laws banning
employment of persons without proper residence or work papers passed by
Congress near thirty years ago. Every private employer or corporate
executive is required by law to certify an employee was legal under
threat of very hefty fines and/or going to prison. We are to this day
required to document with the I-9 form before hiring, yet millions of
illegal workers are taking jobs from crooked business owners while our
legal and political system look the other way, ignoring the laws of
this great nation?
Let’s be honest, Arizona has a problem not of their own making. The
party in power is pulling out all of stops using every conceivable
method to cast Arizona as an outlaw state. I urge all law abiding
citizens to join in the people of Arizona in this battle. As a group,
failure to help and win will mean we are next.
We hear all sorts of lame excuses of why enforcement will not work. I
say, they are lame on purpose, if they wanted to enforce the laws
already on the books, it could happen in hours. I offer this example,
when the fifty five (55) mile per hour, federally imposed speed limit
came into being; tens of thousands of State Patrolmen, City Policemen,
County Sheriffs and Deputies were hard at work handing out millions of
speeding tickets everywhere. Being in this country illegally is
breaking the law, get with it.
We need to elect Senators and Congressmen that will support legal
immigration without amnesty.
