Going Green

To be political correct in today’s world, Green is the word. Whether you believe in global warming or not, it makes good sense to operate machinery with low operating cost. You can add dollars (green backs) of profits to many of your jobs by utilizing Orbit Screens.

Orbital Action screens are up to the task in many ways. First, of course, is the low demand for horse power which reduces fuel consumption for a unit of production. While Orbital Action in itself is very efficient while separating particle sizes, all systems included on the machine are very conservatively designed to provide maximum operating efficiencies.

Screening operations must begin with getting to the job site, again only a pickup is needed, saving a truck tractor and associated overhead. Once on the site, setup is minimal and quick with onboard leveling plus screen opening size changed in minutes without wrenches. It’s easy to match your setup to local work site conditions.

Probably the best cost cutter of all is your ability to place your Orbital Action Screening Plant near the materials to be screened. Your loader only needs a few feet of travel to accomplish your task. While screening, the fines conveyor will load your truck with select materials ready for delivery to your best customers. The overs will be deposited close by ready to dispose of with a loader, smashed with the bucket and re-screened or loaded out as you wish.

Should you wish to stockpile, it’s easy to build two windrows of screened materials. The fines are placed directly behind the machine while the overs are along side. Each time the stockpile builds up to conveyor height, simply pull the machine ahead a few feet, leaving two long stockpiles, all without the extra cost of a stacking conveyor.

Additional features focusing on efficiency (Green) include keeping a low hopper loading height as you can use most any loader in your fleet without building a ramp. The robust hopper provides a variable speed, continuous flow of materials to the screen dish, easily outperforming the interrupted flow associated with many other screening plant designs.

When the day is done, you can easily tow the machine back to the home base or a secure area thereby minimizing a potential vandalism problem.

If Green is your goal or Profits are what you are after, Orbital Action Screens are ready to   work for you.

Happy screening,

Brad Schnittjer
