Is
your Glass, Half Full or Half Empty?
I feel very lucky to be considered one of the very large community of
American Small Businesses. I believe that most of the customers of
Orbit Screens Inc. also fit into this description.
Try as I might, I cannot find where Americas Great Stimulus Package
includes the very group of businesses that employees a majority of
American Workers. Given the promise that the “Package” will add
3,500,000 jobs and there are no “Ear Marks” frankly gives me the
feeling that companies like ours and yours are left to fend for
ourselves while others are given a “Gift Horse” by our elected
officials.
With the prospect of expending our efforts toward supporting such a
program, it would be easy to feel a bit discourage and feel that our
Glass is Half Empty. In my opinion, it is important that we as a group
of small businesses maintain the enthusiasm we had when we started our
companies.
We all felt strong that the Great American Promise of Success through
Entrepreneur’ship would be our future. Our Glass was Half Full and our
intent was to Fill it Up.
Successful companies learn how to maintain an upbeat spirit and attack
the market place with a well thought out plan applied with enthusiasm.
So with the opportunity to succeed out there somewhere, let’s review
our plan, dig in and do our part.
Be sure to keep your Glass Half Full and your intent focused on filling
it up..
This Blog, “The Finer Cut”, by Brad is the fourth of many
planned. Each issue will cover a topic of interest about our machines,
our industry, our customers and more. I look forward to this task and
am excited about the opportunity to broaden our communications with our
customers and industry. I invite you to return and visit from time to
time, cruising back through issues to see what I may have been thinking
of at another time.
I also invite you, our reader to contribute by offering your comments.
